Text Box: The Prairie Dance Experience is a dance-based performing arts curriculum that intends to:
Nurture in children the possibilities for personal growth
Inspire hope and develop accountability by awakening each child’s sense of personal gifts and skills
Promote self esteem by feeding body, mind and spirit through the art of dance
After-school workshops include group instruction in some or all of these subjects: creative movement, modern, ballet, jazz, tap, folk, and ethnic dance, theater arts and creative writing. Additionally, practical life skills such as interpersonal relationships, health issues, nutrition and etiquette are presented. Injury Prevention lessons are offered through our partnership with UCO Kinesiology and Health Studies Program.
